đ 1. Information We Collect
When you create an account and use ChiscoPrediction, we collect the following types of information:
- Account details: Username and email address provided during registration.
- Authentication data: Login timestamps and session activity.
- Usage data: Prediction interaction history (which picks you viewed, tabs visited).
- Technical data: IP address, used for security monitoring and rate-limiting to protect the platform and its users.
- Visitor logs: when you open a page (signed in or not) we record your IP address, browser user-agent and the time of the visit. Logs for visitors who are not signed in are deleted automatically after 7 days. We do not set a session cookie for visitors who are not signed in.
- Error reports: if something breaks, technical details of the error (the page requested, browser type and a stack trace â never your password) are sent to our error-monitoring provider, Sentry.
đ 2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect solely to operate and improve ChiscoPrediction:
- To provide you with basketball and football picks and prediction data.
- To send OTP verification emails during account registration.
- To manage authenticated sessions securely.
- To improve our prediction model based on aggregated usage patterns.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes.

Your data is stored on encrypted servers hosted by Fly.io. We apply industry-standard security practices including:
- HTTPS encryption for all data in transit.
- Access restricted to authorised personnel only.
- Regular security reviews of our infrastructure.
We do not share your data with third parties for commercial purposes. Account data is retained for as long as your account is active; anonymous visitor logs (IP address + user-agent) are kept for 7 days.

ChiscoPrediction uses a minimal set of cookies necessary for the platform to function:
- sessionid â authenticates your login session.
- csrftoken â protects form submissions from cross-site request forgery.
- googtrans â stores your language preference if you use the Google Translate widget (public and member pages only).
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.
đ 5. Third-Party Services
ChiscoPrediction integrates with a limited number of third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Google Translate â the language button on public and member pages loads Google's translation script, so Google receives your IP address and the page being viewed when those pages load. It is not loaded on sign-in, sign-up, password or admin pages. Google Privacy Policy.
- Sentry â error monitoring. When an error occurs, technical details (request path, browser type, error trace) are sent to Sentry so we can fix it; API keys and credentials are stripped before sending. Sentry Privacy Policy.

You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Update your personal information at any time.
